New Do

A little shorter and a lot less tears this time around.

All Around Update

Sorry for the lag between posts but we've been on the go around here. Last weekend my mom came to town to see little Tyler and they had a blast together. Grammy watched Ty while I went out on Friday night. Saturday was packed, showing Grammy every toy and trick we know. We played outside and in the water and had a ball! That Sunday, after taking mom to the airport, Tyler came down with a fever. The next day he still had the fever and now had a head to toe rash to go along with it. So to the doctor we went. Turns out the rash and fever were caused by strep throat. He had a rough day or so before the antibiotics kicked in and now he's back up to snuff.Yesterday Jim had knee surgery and is home with Tyler and me for the rest of the week recuperating. Tyler has taken full advantage of this situation, climbing up into Dada's lap to read stories multiple times a day.

Beach Babies

This past week we headed back to the beach with our friends Christa, Anna, Karissa and Max. We got some quality beach time before a monster storm hit. The kids had a great time chasing each other around and banging on an overturned boat like a drum. The mamas had a blast catching up with each other. See you soon!!

Buh buh

This weekend we spent a lot of time with buh buhs (babies). Our friends Tony and Nicole came to visit and brought their 7 month old Henrik to play with Tyler. Tyler was curious about the baby and made sure to be gentle around him. He also handed back Henrik's nuk and bottle to Nicole. Cute!

The next day we visited the Amelottes with their new one week old, Kate, and big sister Elise. Tyler kept pointing to Kate and saying, "buh buh" but other than that he let her be. He was content to play with Elise the whole time while I held baby Kate.

Da Dum Da Dum

This past Saturday Jim and I took Tyler to Underwater Adventures, an aquarium at the Mall of America. There are great exhibits on the animals found in Minnesota plus all kinds of aquatic animals. Our favorite part was the tunnel of glass where sharks, fish and sting rays were literally swimming on all sides of you. While in the tunnel Tyler kept repeating the same two things over and over: "Whoooaaaa! Fishes!". He had almost as much fun as we did!
